Jack Gill
Co-Founder & Director
Originally from Oxfordshire, UK, Gill has lived all over Europe, from Estonia, Russia and Georgia to Scotland, Belgium and, finally, Austria. His love of Europe began at an early age, after being inspired by the variety of languages in Europe. A linguist at heart, but a political and social scientist in mind, he has dedicated his life to the study of Europe, its peoples, languages, history, systems of government, and ideologies.

Urban Jakša
Co-Founder & Research Fellow
An expert on peace and security in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Jakša primarily focuses on sovereignty, regional secessionism, and conflicts involving breakaway regions. Originally from Slovenia, he gained experience in nine countries, having studied in France, the UK, and the US and worked as a researcher and analyst for universities, think tanks, NATO, the OSCE, and the UN.


Stephen Chilimidos
Policy Fellow
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Stephen has lived in Los Angeles, Berlin, and Vienna. His main research interests centre on developmental programmes, innovation policies, comparative politics, and election analysis.

Eray Mutlu
Research Fellow
Eray Mutlu is a Political Scientist and PhD student in Law and Politics at the University of Graz. He focuses on energy security, EU trade, industrial policy, and regional cooperation. At EUNRO, Eray actively supports the organisation’s mission to research and empower Europe’s regions and communities. He works to connect research and policy, focusing on his home region, Southeastern Europe.​


Isaure Vorstman
Research Fellow
Isaure holds a Master's in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. As a multilingual writer, editor, and researcher, she specialises in the historical and political aspects of identity formation in Europe and Eurasia. Through her work, Isaure seeks to challenge rigid definitions of national identities and emphasise the often-overlooked potential of regional identities in promoting a stronger, more unified Europe.
